We do not keep lists and we do not take deposits, you just have to contact us at the right time. Please be aware that we do not sell puppies that are represented as show or breeding quality. The puppies that we feel are show quality go into "our" show and breeding program. The puppies we sell are intended as pet and/or potential hunting companions and offered on limited registration only.
Our puppies begin going to new homes after they turn 12 weeks old.
We oftentimes have older puppies, young dogs, and retirees available to loving homes.
Dickendall Labradors breeds only blacks and yellows, no chocolate puppies.

All Available dogs are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, heart worm prevention, and worming. They are sold on limited registration with the understanding that that will be spayed or neutered if not done prior to placement.

Charlie
Yellow Labrador Male

If you want a good boy, Charlie is it! He's affectionate and sweet, willing to please, and an absolute glue dog. He loves to play ball, but we don't think he'd love to be a heavy duty hunter. He's going to be your all around good boy adventure buddy.
He settles easily, is not active, and just a happy boy.
Charlie is sound, well made and athletic. We anticipate he will be slightly shorter than our boys usually are but still a stocky, solid boy. He currently weighs around 73lbs and he will likely mature at around 80-85lbs.
He loves nothing more than to lean on you for pets with a toy or ball in his mouth, wagging his tail. Charlie is looking for the perfect home to love him. He's been through our basicobedience program for house manners and obedience skills. He has very good obedience skills and will move in easily into your home.
He's up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and comes with AKC Limited Registration. Please note that his training is not included in his purchase price and is invoiced separately, paid directly to the trainer. Full details are available upon inquiry.

Puzzle is a happy, fun, big and beautiful girl. She is a typical Dickendall glue dog and loves to play. She's sweet and easily adaptable. She'd love to join you for neighborhood walks and then sit with you while you watch a movie. Want to occasionally throw the ball, go to the lake, or kids sports games? She'd love that. She loves people and friends and other dogs. If you had a playmate for her, she'd love that too, but she's most happy getting to be a part of your family.
She's been through our obedience program for house manners and obedience skills. She will get a week of spruce up before leaving and we encourage you to go to a local obedience class for bonding.

Phoebe
Border Terrier Female · 2 Years · Grizzle · Spayed
Phoebe has never met a stranger and is the life of the party. She's great with other dogs, people, and is an overall good, well socialized girl.
She's crate trained, leash broken, and house trained. She's equally at home sitting on your lap for pets or chasing down a ball. She would benefit from obedience class or training and more manners, but she's food motivated and will love to learn.
Due to recent events with other Border Terriers, we are prioritizing a home with someone who truly wants a dog in their day to day life, has a securely fenced yard, and is an experienced dog owner.
We will consider on a case by case basis if your home does not include a fenced yard.
We have invested a lot of time in Phoebe as we thought she'd continue the Dickendall Border Terrier tradition. Unfortunately for us, while she is beautiful, her coat is softer than we would deem correct. Our loss is your gain, as Phoebe will be an absolutely wonderful companion.
She will be groomed before pick up.
She's up to date on all vaccines, vet care, and is microchipped. Training is available.

Training
Training is key to helping your dog develop essential skills and good behavior, improving safety, communication, and your overall life together. Starting early means your puppy learns the rules from day one, preventing bad habits before they start. A well trained dog is a joy to live with.
We strongly encourage enrolling your puppy in a group obedience class to build manners and social skills around other dogs.
We work with two trusted trainers to give your dog the best start: Liz Kelly at Texas K-9 Academy and our own kennel manager, Betsy Arellano, based on availability. Both offer 2 and 4 week programs designed to set your puppy or adult dog up for success before they go home. Training is invoiced separately, paid directly to the trainer.
Puppy Foundations. Any Dickendall puppy is welcome to join our month long Puppy Foundations program before going home to you, where they start all the basics:
- Crate training
- Leash breaking
- Name recognition and recall
- Basic obedience
- House manners for a seamless move into your home

Meet Joe
15 Month Old, Black Male Labrador
Joe is a true Dickendall Labrador. Ready to go when you are, and just as happy to settle at your feet when the day is done.
He is a 15-month-old black Labrador Retriever male with that classic Dickendall temperament. Kind, steady, confident, and genuinely people-oriented. He is a sweet and athletic boy who loves to retrieve, swim, and play, and loves to learn which makes training a pleasure. He has the natural ability and drive to excel as a sport dog in obedience, agility, or hunt tests -- but he would equally love life as a cherished family dog, right in the middle of everything, exactly where he belongs.
Joe hit the jackpot of homes and is living in Washington State on his own lake. He's enjoying leaping off the dock for bumpers and swimming with a new kid of his own.
We are so happy for him!

He has never met a stranger. He's been well traveled and has been to some shows, follows us for off-lead to hikes naturally, and loves to play.
Ethan loves being by your side, enjoys a good game of fetch, and is just as happy relaxing with you. While he won’t be a show dog, he’s the perfect companion and will make a wonderful addition to the right family.

Meet ZigZag!
ZigZag is a fun, athletic, and outgoing yellow girl who’s ready to find an active home that matches her enthusiasm for life.
She’s well-traveled, completely bombproof, and takes everything in stride. ZigZag loves adventure and thrives on activity. If you are looking for a couch potato, unfortunately, ZigZag will leave you disappointed, but if instead you are looking for a happy go lucky, fun companion that loves to do everything with you and will retrieve, swim, and do all the "Labrador" things, ZigZag is probably your girl! She is incredibly smart and eager to please, making her a joy to work with for someone who enjoys an engaged, responsive dog. While she is an active dog, she loves attention and to be petted and hugged and she will happily settle wonderful companion.
ZigZag has made it to her new home in Arizona, where she will have a golden sister, lots of walks, hikes and adventures with her new mom.

Occasionally, we have amazing "special needs" pups who are looking for loving homes. These dogs are happy, well-adjusted and cared-for, and have the typical Dickendall Temerament, but may have some challenges whether due to congenital defects or other factors beyond their control. If you think you may provide a great home for one of these good dogs, we are happy to chat with you and keep you on our list.
